«“I create images that are in part based on memories and in part fiction and invention.

Drawing and painting are very important tools for me. I am interested in the combination and tension of different qualities of line. In some cases, intentionally and consciously, the work seems “unfinished”. The courts are open spaces that contain geometric forms they work as a stage where animals such as deer, sheep or horses wonder around.

In some paintings, objects such as ping-pong tables or red rugs appear forgotten just as if someone left them behind. They address the idea of absence.

One of my objectives while painting is to create an image with the capability to make people think, the objective is to raise questions, Why the court? Why animals? Why rugs? My paintings usually have more questions than answers”.»
